It's time to chat with your girlfriends, IA and Shawn!
So, it's 2012. Crazy?!?!?! So many things, for me, are happening this year.
- My ten year high school reunion is this summer. WHAT? It's been ten years already? I'm ready to show everyone that I married a great guy (soooo glad I dumped my bf from that year), and have a wonderful family! And a few other things. But I don't want to give it all way now!
- Steve's Mission reunion. I'm actually planning a trip to the dreaded state of Utah. (You hear that Laura, we are coming to Utah this summer! Just in time to see your new baby!!!) I'm excited to see some of his old mission friends that I've met a few times. Not so excited to see some other people. I'll have to be a good girl. I hope that I can manage that. And not get into trouble.
- Getting back into shape. Now that we are in this AMAZING home (still riding that high!), we can use our kinect to workout. I need to lose the last ten pounds from Dexter...and then some. Wish me luck!
- Reading lots of great books! I joined a book club and am excited to start reading again! Thanks to my iPad, I can read my books in bed again, without the light on!!
- My parents want to have a Higley reunion for us West Costers. I'm not sure when it will be, but it sounds like the 4th of July. We'll see if that actually happens. I wish we could go to the real one in PA, but not this year. Someday...
- Not having a baby, and probably not getting pregnant this year! I know, that's a shocker, right? But I'm just not feeling it right now. But we'll see what happens. It's all in the Lord's hands.
- I turn 29 in August. I want my last year in my 20's to be awesome! (Steve, you better get to planning my party and how to make 29 awesome for me!) I'm also going to try and not freak out about that.
- Jake turns 8 in November. That's huge in our family. That's when he can be baptized into the LDS Church. I've got a lot of things I need to cover with him. I hope I don't fail on that. I really want him to be prepared to be a member of the Church now, and what that means.
- And most importantly, getting closer to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Building my testimony and sharing it with y'all on my Mormon Monday's.
Ok, that kind of turned into a resolution thing. Oh well. But yeah, there are a few other things I'd like to add to that list, that doesn't really count as "happening". Like being a better friend. Making friends in this new area. Be a better blogger. Taking more pictures of our kids. Most of all, I just want to be a better me. Be the person that Heavenly Father knows that I can be, and want to be!
I hope everyone has a wonderful 2012!

So much fun to look forward to a new year, all that it will hold and all the things you want to accomplish! Sounds like it will be an exciting one for you & your family :)
10 year reunion yay! I loved mine! I'm almost at 15. :)
I'm with you on the losing weight train, I hope I am as motivated physically as my mind is... LOL
No babies for me this year either. I was holding out hope that my hubs would maybe change his mind & give us the green light for another but sadly I think he is FOR REAL when he says we are done. I'm letting it sink it. I have 3 wonderful girls so I definitely don't have anything to complain about.
Yay for Jake turning 8 this year. I love hearing about how special 8 is for you guys. Can't wait to hear your story on it as well.
LOOOOVE that you ended with "being a better me". I've seen that a few times today on blogs & facebook & you know what, I think it is telling me something. I need to be a better me as well!!
Happy 2012 to you & your family!
Your 10 year reunion will be so fun!
I'm signing up to do Connie and Mimi's bookclub. Their first book looks good.
No more kiddos this year? I bet you'll miss being pregnant! =)
Thanks for linking up with us! xoxo
10 year reunion?
Wow! It just made me think that this is going to be my 30th? How did I get to my late 40s already? Dang..40 is the new 20, honest?
I love your resolutions or goals. I hope that you achieve every single one!
You only have to lose ten more pounds? That is amazing! Good for you. When you come to UT, if you aren't too busy, it would be great to meet up. I would love that! But I know trips tend to be crazy busy, so no worries.
new home? FABULOUS! congratulations, that must be thrilling for your family!
10 yr reunion was fun but my 20 was a serious blast!
so many fantastic things on the horizon for you. yay!
I didn't go to my 10 year reunion because my hubby couldn't make it and there was no way I was going without him- can you even imagine the rumors that would cause. I didn't go to my 20th either, I figured after this many years I could talk to those I wanted to on FB and forget the rest.
Did you just say having another baby was not in the plans this year but if it happened...Girl you area brave soul!
Thanks for linking up and hang on, it looks like you have a busy year ahead of you! !
I hope 2012 is great for you!! Lucas turns 8 in October! I cannot believe it-- and he is in senior primary now- how did we get old enough for our kids to be that old??
