Corn Maize

This Saturday, we went to The Pumpkin Patch! Thanks to Groupon, we didn't have to pay for one of us, and only for Jake!

The Pumpkin Patch has lots of stuff to do. Corn Maize, Hay Rides, Hay Pyramid, Animal Barn. A cafe with lots vendors! Cow train, face painting and of course, the pumpkin patch!

We packed up our lunch and stopped by the outdoor cafe for lunch!

Eating lunch. Ok, most of the food was eaten on the way to The Pumpkin Patch!

The passes were for the Corn Maize, so we headed on over. This would be Steve's first corn maze! I LOVE corn mazes and haven't been to one since high school. :(

Before we got lost, we snapped this pictures, to see how tall the kids are!

Jake, just shy of 4 feet!

 Zoe, not quiet 3.5 feet!

Leo, almost as tall as Zoe.

Teage, he would be closer to 3, if he would have scooted up to sign more.

 Dexter, he's just cute!

Off, into the maze! The kids were excited!! And the Patch had signs, 1-10 and trivia questions to help us get through the maze. The kids had a Toddler one, we had TV & Movies, and American History.

Right as we entered the maze!

 Let the fun begin!

Zoe had to lead us. lol!

In the middle of the maze there was this. Cute, huh?

I love this picture of Teage and Steve!! So cute!!

Dexter was soooo good for this! He was sleeping through most of it.
Best baby ever!!

In the maze, there were two bridges. We made it to one, but couldn't get to the other. It was Steve's goal to find at least one of these bridges!

Over looking what we went through! The tent is the beginning and the end!

Not sure how long we were in there, maybe 30-45 minutes!
This year, the maze is in honor of the new Portland Timbers!
All in all, a great day!!

After the maze, we went on for a hay ride. And since we are dirt poor cheapskates, we just went on the free ride, and didn't get any pumpkins. Plus, it's too early. It would rot before Halloween.

 Steve and Leo!

 Jake!

 Teage, Me and Zoe!

 Me and Zoe!

The kids loved the hay ride! They really wanted to get pumpkins. And we felt back that we didn't, but they got over it.

The last thing we did was play on the hay pyramid. The kids had a blast! Teage really wanted to go through the tunnel they had at the bottom, but was scared. After talking Jake in going after him, Teage crawled the whole way like this:

We did the Animal Barn. The kids really had a good time! I had a good time! Steve had a good time! And we finally got to do something fun!! All is well in the world!

How fun!!! This is our first year taking James to a pumpkin patch, just to get pictures but I can't wait until he is older and we can do more interactive things. How awesome that you all got to do that as a family!!

I picked out a pumpkin yesterday, but just a little one from the garden center to accent the mums I bought for my porch, haha

You know I've never done a corn maze either, and of course there's a ton of them around here...I'll have to get on that.

You guys look like you had so much fun, your kiddies are so cute!

That looks like an awesome pumpkin place! We don't usually get our pumpkins at places like that as they are so expensive- we go and then buy our pumpkins at Walmart :)

That looks so fun! I'm glad even Dexter had a good time. :) I keep forgetting it's October. I love Halloween activities, though my husband is not fond of corn mazes. I may make him go anyhow.

Cute pics of the kids. You all looked like you had a blast.

It's always great when you can have a ball for very little money. Win-Win!

Goodness, I am jealous! I am hoping to do this for Keith's birthday next week, but who know what the weather will bring. All dark clouds and rain this whole week. Sigh. But wow, what a fun time you all had! And I am so glad Dex was such an angel for you. I am sure that made it a lot easier than it would be with a screaming babe. :)
