So, yesterday was my 28th birthday!
I've been a little freaked out over turning 28. I don't know why, maybe because I'm getting closer to being 30. I think in my mind 30 is when I actually have to be an adult.
Anyway, yesterday was just like any other day. For the most part.
Jake couldn't wait for me to wake up so he could show me the card he made. He woke up when his daddy was getting ready to go to work at 6. I didn't wake up till almost 8. While I was feeding Dexter, I asked Jake to rub my back! What a good boy!
Then I went about my daily morning stuff.
At 10:30, my visiting teachers came over, wanting to be put to work. So I let them fold my three very full baskets of laundry, plus a HUGE basket of socks needing to be paired. Thanks sisters! You made my day!
After that, the kids were being good coloring and watching Phineas and Ferb, I started to put the clothes away. But my new neighbor thought that today would a good day to inform me of how loud my kids are. I am trying everything to keep them from running in the house, but it's not working. After talking with her, we came up with a plan. I know it's not going to work. But yeah, that's my dark spot of my day.
Then we waited for Daddy to come home. With a lot of time outs and tv watching.
Steve came home with a stack of presents and a card for me!
I got Dexter season 5 and a red cover for my Kindle! Plus the Omen Machine I got for myself!
From my parents I got cash!! And from my in-laws an Amazon gift card. To be spent on Kindle books!
(Any suggestions on what I should get?)

Then, he made me dinner!
Steak, crab legs, couscous and creme brulee!
We finished the night off with some Big Brother and some Dexter (the tv show, not my baby!)
This weekend we are going to the Air Show and probably the Saturday Market, sans kids. So all in all, a good birthday week!

"I have tried to understand apartment living"? What is there to understand? A ton of families living in close quarters of a building! Meh...sorry they had to bring you down on your special day.
I need to add Dexter season 5 to my collection! It's hard to believe we're pretty close to the new season, it always seems like it's so far away when it ends!
What a fabulous birthday!!! Except for the neighbor. I couldn't read your letter very well, but I'm sure you were nicer than I would have been, especially on my birthday. And that dinner looks great!
And you are my dream age. It was so long ago. (sigh)
Happy birthday!
Well happy birthday! Other than the debacle with the neighbour, it sounds like it was a nice decadent day.
Happy Birthday! And what a great dinner! mm that is making me hungry and it is way too late to be eating.
So what is the plan with your neighbor? sorry about that :(
Happy Birthday, late!! Sounds like you had a good one...those Kindle covers are SO nice. My mom has that exact one. :)
I keep trying to steal it...no go so far. :)
Happy Birthday to you! (sorry I'm late). Sounds like you had a great day, minus the grummmmpy neighbor. Dinner looked yummy, your hubs rocks! I'd looove to have the recipe to that creme brulee, it is my favorite dessert but I've never made it myself.
