1. A recent picture of you and 15 interesting facts about yourself
I'll use this picture (taken a few minutes ago. Can't you tell? Still have sleepy eyes)
even though I really want to use this one:
This was taken last year during my birthday weekend! Not pregnant, no double chin, and my hair is stinkin' cute!
15 Interesting Facts About Me
- I'm the baby in my family. Not counting my half siblings, there is a 19 and 17 year age difference between my brothers and I.
- I have gone to 5 different elementary schools. 3 in my first grade year. Meaning I don't have a first grade picture.
- I have lived in 23 different homes, in 15 different cities, in 3 different states. That's 22 moves in 26 years.
- In almost 8 years of marriage we have lived in 7 different homes, in 5 cities, in 3 different states. Yup, that's a lot of moving!
- I am TERRIFIED of spiders. No matter how big or small, I scream like a little girl and have nightmares. Seeing them on tv gives me the willies.
- I just learned how to sew 2 years ago. One weekend of my mom showing me the basics, the rest, I learned through tutorials and videos online!
- I have a phone phobia. I hate making phone calls to anyone outside of Steve and my mom. I'd rather Steve make the phone call, if it's to his family, or text or email. I get this ball in my stomach and my heart starts racing. So I avoid it at all costs.
- I have always wanted 7 kids. I remember being young and thinking about it. I wanted to have a "middle" child. But 3 was way too small (I come from 3, and when one dies, then it's just the 2 of you. At the time, Duane and I didn't even have a relationship), 5 didn't seem "big" enough. And 9 was too many. So 7 it was. I told Steve this when we were dating, and he thought 7 was just perfect!
- I'm B-. But I've never had to have Rh immunoglobulin shot. Steve is A-!! Something else we talked about when we were dating. So, now, we just have really rare blood types for kids. B-, AB- (which is the rarest of the whole world), and two O-. Good thing we have two universal donors in our family, and we're all rH- and all that.
- In high school, I was in the band. I played the bass clarinet. I was also on Flag Team for all 4 years and was captain my senior year. But that's not all. I played Volleyball my freshmen year. Softball my Freshmen and Sophomore years. I cheered my Sophomore and Junior years (no freshmen allowed, and quit at the end of my Junior year...wish I would have cheered my senior year now). I was in two plays my senior year: David and Lisa and Cinderella. Oh, and I was 3rd Princess on the Miss Sunnyside Court my Junior year. It'll be ten years this September since I passed my title on and I really want to have a reunion this summer, but half the court is having their 10 year class reunion. And three of us are either pregnant or just had a baby. I miss my girls though.
- My brother is a teacher and the softball coach in Payette, ID. My dream is to one day teach with him and be his assistant coach. Or JV coach. Which ever, but I think it would be cool to have a brother/sister teaching in the same school and coaching. Although, I never want to live in Idaho. (That's one state I haven't lived in!)
- So along with having a huge family, I want to live on the outside of town, with a ton of cats, dogs, guinea pigs, and other fun animals. I want to have a little mini farm going on.
- I like to play video games. I hate Halo, but will play COD (Call of Duty) with Steve. Not online though. It's crazy fast and I'm not that good. I also like to play Ghost Recon with our friends, Adam and Laura. It's the only game you can play split screen and online with friends. I also love the Lego games. Steve and I will play through, unlocking everything, and then let the kids play in free play. Oh, and I love Kingdom Hearts, Rachet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Soul Calibur, Animal Crossing, and pretty much anything Mario: Kart, Paper, Super Mario Brothers, Party.
- Because I married a video game player as well, between the two of use we have: 2 Gameboys, 2 Ninetendos, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Sega Dreamcast, Playstation 2, Game Cube, DS (which died), DS XL (to replace our dead DS), PSP, Wii (needs to be fixed, but Steve read last night that there is a new Wii going to be announced at E3 this year, and the old Wii will get a price drop next month...maybe getting a new one if we can save up for it), 2 XBox 360's (we got the new black one as a Christmas present to ourselves and kept the old one so we can have Netflix in the bedroom, but really, should just get rid of the old one, but haven't been able to talk Steve into that one yet) and Playstation 3. I think it's safe to say we horde game systems and have way too many. Don't worry, we don't have these all hooked up. All the older stuff is packed away. We just have the Wii, PS3, both 360's, PS2 and Game Cube (in the bedroom) hooked up. The kids like to play a lot of the Game Cube and PS2 games.
- I am a relative of the man who wrote Home on the Range. Dr. Brewster Higley wrote that song after his wife and kids left him in the late 1800's in Kansas. I have all the Higley Books (a four book set of our genealogy. Starting with Captain John Higley, who came to America, to the early 80's. Only, I'm not in them) and he is in there, that's who we found out about that. Then yesterday, I got a letter from the foundation asking for a donation to his Memorial. LOL! Just because I'm a Higley. Darn Higley's!
So there you go. Hope you found those interesting.
Sorry for any repeats.
I'm really not that interesting.
LOL!

I like this idea a lot. I might steal it from you...but I don't like the idea of posting pictures of myself because I HATE having any pictures of me (although I did post that ridiculous one of me a couple of days ago...).
Kingdom Hearts is one of my most favorite console games - but I'm a Disney lunatic so it's pretty typical of me.
I can't believe you've only been sewing for 2 years. I need to get my butt in gear.
My husband also has phone phobia. I have to make pretty much all of our calls.
You rock.
'nuff said.
Oh, and I have always wanted 7 kids as well. I have two and am desperately dying for more, but my hubby says not until he finishes school. And I am afraid that I am getting too old! I am willing to go down to 5, but any less than that seems like too little!
I came from a family of 7 kids and I can tell you, it was awesome!
P.S. you make me laugh.
