Time with Grammy and Boppie
This past weekend, we went up to Burley, ID to visit my parents while my dad was at the Idaho State Bowling Tournament. It was a lot of fun. My parents, knowing how poor we are, paid for us to come up there, stay in a hotel and all of our food while there. As well as gas to get back. Thank you so much, Mom and Dad for doing that for us. We had a blast just hanging out in our hotel room (it was a Fairfield Marriot, very nice, and connected to my parents!), swimming (the kids favorite part) and just sitting watching Daddy bowl. It's so nice to go to a bowling alley and not have smoke everywhere. A big change from when I was a kid going to bowling tournaments with my parents. And, this bowling alley had a fenced off area for little babies/toddlers to play at. We were lucky enough that my dad bowled down by it both days, so we were able to stay close and watch our kids. Jake really likes bowling, and figured out who was on my dad's team (they took 6th in the team event) and clapped for them when they did well, and gave them high fives. All in all, it was a good weekend. Steve felt bad that we left yesterday before my dad was done bowling. But the kids were getting really bad, and the fighting and screaming was getting on the other bowlers nerves, so it was time to go. My parents totally understood though. We are just glad we got to spend some time with them in a new environment. It's good to get away from home sometimes and just experience a new town and fun new things. Thanks again, Mom and Dad, for a great weekend. We all had a great time! *sorry there are no pictures. we took the camera, but forgot to use it. oops*

Wow! That's so cool your dad's a bowler! It sounds like a lot of fun!
P.S. Thanks for the comment on my blog. I was thinking that about diaper size! Because I remember that it seems like he eventually leaked so much in his newborn diapers and then it stopped when we put him in the bigger diapers! Thanks from one inexperienced mom to another experienced mom! Love, TOnee
