Stupid Back
So, on Saturday, I sneezed and threw out my back. Stupid back! Stupid pregnancy for making me all fragile. I have done everything that I can think of to get my back in order, but nothing has worked. Putting my feet up made my back worse, taking a hot bath only works while I'm in the bath, laying on my back feels good, but doesn't fix it. I've tried Icy Hot, back rubs, stretching, nothing seems to work. I don't want to have to go to the doctor, but I just might have to. This is NOT the week for me to be in pain. I can't even bend over, stand up or walk without being in such bad pain. I'm taking a lot of drugs to help with the pain, but it isn't working. I have to clean my house from top to bottom b/c my mother-in-law and my parents are coming Thursday for Steve's graduation. When I was gone, the laundry didn't get done and I've been feeling so icky these last few weeks, that I just haven't had the energy to do laundry, or clean the kitchen or the bathroom or the kids' room. My house is such a mess and I can't do anything about it. UGH! So not the time to be stuck in bed. Poor Steve. He's been doing a lot of studying this weekend. At least the living room got picked up. Only because someone was coming over to study with him. I'm afraid that he'll have to do everything this week. Anyone have any tips on how to make my back better. Without going to see a doctor? I'm willing to try anything!

The only thing that helps me when my back hurts so bad I can't stand it is getting on all fours (hands and knees) on the floor and just relaxing my back by having the tummy take all the gravity. But you can't do that all day! I'm sorry about the pain...I totally know how you feel. It's not fun. I can't bend over 1/2 the time either without my back killing me. I have a message appointment with my sister in law next week who says that she can relieve the pain...so maybe try a messeus (sp?)...except it can get pretty expensive. My doc recommended a chiropractor but I haven't given that a try yet. Good luck and let me know if you figure something out that works for you...maybe it'll help me too! :)
So, this is totally against the dr.s orders, but sometimes I sleep with a heat pad turned on low under my back. I always feel a little better in the morning. I hope you feel better soon!
