Halloween 2011

We survived another year of Halloween. And now I have 23 days until my little boy turns 7. Oy.

Anywho, this year we did two pumpkin patches, put off until the Friday before Halloween to carve pumpkins (the kids painted theirs a week before), bought all of the customs, did a Trunk-or-Treat at the church AND went Trick-or-Treating last night.

I'm so over Halloween now. But not yet ready for Thanksgiving/Jake's birthday. Yup, Jake gets a turkey, some stuffing, yummy goodness (it's this jello/cranberry sauce stuff my step-mother-in-law makes that is yummy), rolls and some pies for his birthday this year. Oh the joys of being born the day before Thanksgiving. Oh and one big parade! I love the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade! Watch it every year.

Ok, ok. Enough about Thanksgiving. How about a picture over load? Great! Cuz....that's what you get!

 My pumpkin. I like it a lot.

 Steve's pumpkin. The kids say mine is happy and his is scary. lol!

 Together =)  Yes, these pictures were taken in the laundry room. It was the only place dark enough to take pictures.

This year we did a Star Wars theme. Why? Because most of the kids picked Star Wars costumes, so we forced the others into some too.

Jake = Jedi

 Zoe = Queen Amidala (Episode One)

 Leo = Darth Vader

 Teage = Yoda
The cutest Yoda ever!
For reals! He was getting extra candy from people last night because he was/is so darn cute!

Dexter = Cheeseburger
So appropriate though!
Did you know that there is a cattle breed that is named Dexter.
And that it is used to make beef?
Yup.
See, the things you learn at the Zoo!

And their loot? Let's just say that this will last them until Valentines Day. Really, we don't need anymore candy in this house!

Very cute costumes, I guess I get the hamburger costume now but wasn't expecting you to break the theme.

Happy planning for the upcoming birthday.

Thanks for linking up!

I love the theme idea! That's great. And that is the cutest hamburger I've ever seen! They scored some serious candy. Good for them! Emma doesn't eat candy so basically we have a stash of candy for M and I. It's out of sight right now but not out of mind...YET!
