Things Be Changing

In the last few months, I've been doing more memes then actual posts. I know, doing memes and blog hopping is how you get followers. And I am VERY thankful for those of you think that I am follow worthy.

But I'm not happy with doing a ton of memes. They are nice when I've got nothing. But maybe I should start having more to share about my kids and life and faith.

There. I said it. I want to start sharing my beliefs on this blog. You've seen this button on my side bar:

I'm a Mormon.

But have you clicked on it? Do you know what a Mormon is? Do you know what we believe in?

Well, I want to share with everyone what it is that makes me who I am.

Now, it is not my goal to convert anyone. It is not my goal to shove this down your throats. If you don't want to read it, then don't. I understand. But, I love learning about other faiths, what you believe in. I want to learn too. Please don't unfollow me because I'll be speaking some church stuff. Like I said, if you don't like the post, then you don't have to read it.

But if you are curious, then read it!

I want to do this, because frankly, I am not a good Mormon. I'm struggling with going to church. I'm struggling to read my scriptures. I'm struggling to pray. I'm struggling with my testimony. I'm struggling to do what is right. So, yesterday morning, while I was praying in the shower (it's the only place I have that is quiet for me to do some praying.) I got this idea to start

Mormon Monday's

Every Monday I'm going to share a little bit of my testimony. A little bit of my faith. A little bit of why I believe what I believe. I'm going to share thoughts from what I learned on Sunday. I'm going to share about what I've been reading and the thoughts that come to mind. My goal is that my testimony will grow. That I'll become the best Sara I can be. That I can be the Daughter of God, Heavenly Father knows that I can be!

I am fierce in my belief in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am passionate about standing up for what I believe is right. And it's about time I start doing something about it.

So, this Monday, I'll be sharing my baptism story. They why, how, when, where. And even my picture of 12 year old Sara. (I'm a hot mess!)

I welcome questions. Anything and everything is open to discussion. But please, I'm not here to argue about gospel difference. Like I said, if you don't like what you are reading, then don't read it. I'm not making you. This is more for me then anything else. But if you'd like to be apart of this, in anyway, please comment. Questions, comments are more than welcome!

And, if you would like to share you beliefs about being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, let me know. I might start a meme of my own if there is enough interest.

So, I'm going to start taking more pictures of my kids. Recording more of their achievements and moments on here. If I don't do your meme, please don't think I've got something against you. I love all the hosts of all the memes I've done, but I'm not happy with how this blog is going. I'll still link up with some every now and again (probably a few a week) but I mostly want this to be about me, my life and the wonderful people I get to share it with. Sounds good?

When I first started blogging, I got caught up in the memes, too. But then I remembered WHY I started blogging - it was for ME. And participating in memes just wasn't very gratifying to me, so I only do a couple a month now.

It sounds like you've found your purpose, too. And it's a brave one! Sharing about your faith can be hard b/c you are almost guaranteed to get some flack from people for it. Don't let it get you down though! For every rude or insensitive person, there'll be 20 supportive ones! :o)

I look forward to learning more about you! I had friends that were Mormon when I was growing up but I never learned much about the religion. I promise to be on the supportive side!!

Meme's are fun, but they make me lazy. Good luck with your new strategy!

Good for you! This is your space & wanting it to be more about you makes all the sense in the world. I am not Morman but I think faith is a beautiful thing & hearing about it intrigues me & also makes me happy. There is definitely something special about listening to someones beliefs. I'm looking forward it! :)
