April's Vlog

Photobucket

Ok, so this is a week late. I am SO SORRY. Last week was not the best week, and the idea of speaking in front of my camera wasn't a good one.

So, this is a new week! I got up, said some prayers, read some scriptures, took a shower, DID MY HAIR (I never do my hair), put on some real clothes (not just yoga pants and a Downeast t-shirt) and am feeling great! So I thought I would FINALLY get this vlog done.

April's vlog is an Accent/Dialect vlog. It's been going around the web, so the wonderful hosts, Mamarazzi and Seriously Shawn thought it's about time we do it to.

Alright, time for my shining moment! Please enjoy!

This was taken from Mamarazzi's blog. The actual list of things I said, along with the questions:

You start by saying the following words:

Aunt, Route, Wash, Oil, Theater, Iron, Salmon, Caramel, Fire, Water, Sure, Data, Ruin, Crayon, Toilet, New Orleans, Pecan, Both, Again, Probably, Spitting image, Alabama, Lawyer, Coupon, Mayonnaise, Syrup, Pajamas, Caught, Antenna, Rootbeer, Ambulance, Museum, Milk, Orange, Apricot

THEN you answer the following questions:

What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house?
What is the bug that when you touch it, it curls into a ball?
What is the bubbly carbonated drink called?
What do you call gym shoes?
What do you say to address a group of people?
What do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped
body and extremely long legs?
What do you call your grandparents?
What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry
groceries at the supermarket?
What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining?
What is the thing you change the TV channel with?
Where do you buy your groceries?

The Show & Tell assignment is to show us your favorite room in your house.

So there you go. Again, I apologize for the mess that is my room. For the bra shot (yes, I just hang my bras on my dresser) and how tired I look. I promise, I don't feel tired. I really don't! I'm really not this bad of a house keeper, but I think when your pregnant you get a pass. Right? RIGHT????

Oh and my husband does not sleep with a cute blankie. That was my daughter's that she left behind after I kicked her out of my room.

Hope you enjoyed this months Vlog. I promise next time, my home won't be such a mess!

You're right, no accent! :-) I like that you differentiate between the different grandparents. I plan on doing that when we have children. It's so much less confusing than having to ask which grandma or grandpa they're talking about.

No accent!!
And you know what's hilarious?? I couldn't figure out why caught was on this list until I heard Geraldo say it this weekend...it was like "cauwht" or some weird thing. :)
I love that we talk the same pretty much.

No accent! I have found most people I listen to don't really have an accent. I guess I am only friends from the west or mid west. :)

Isn't it funny how we feel we have to apologize for being less than perfect? I love how real you are and how you didn't pretend your room was spotless. I would totally have cleaned and pretended I was a super mom even though I am not.

And you are pregnant with lots of little kids. You deserve to have a little mess now and again. Even if it is more now and less again. :)

Your so cute and funny.

I totally like to pretend I am clean like the previous commentor, but I am sooo not. Still, I want to be. Does that count?

Laundry has taken over at my house, only most of my clean laundry is covering the floor of the laundry room. Most of the dirty clothes are overflowing in baskets.

I LOVED our old bed too. It was so cozy. We just got a used, but new one last month. My husband loves it, but I am miserable. I am longing for my old comfy one again. I'm so jealous. :)

Yay! I'm awesome! I made it to the end, and I'll just go ahead and say that you totally entertain me...
I think we could be great friends.
I used to want 6 kids. Made it to 4, and then the doctors said "no more.", and most days I'm extremely grateful for that.
Today is laundry day for me, so I can totally empathize with you. However, I totally spent the whole day catching up on blogs, and the load of laundry I put in the washer this morning is still in there now.
Laundry Fairy FAIL.
Nice to "meet" you!

Awe that was cute!!! I loved when you said I'm from Washington we pronounce all the vowels.... ummm yeah! We dod don't we, although I'm not from Washington I'm from Oregon but yeah we are the same when it comes to that.

Ok so I didn't think you looked tired at all. Well until you got to the end & you said I'm how many weeks pregnant & I have 4 kids & I have no motivation to clean I am tired people, then in that moment you looked a little tired. LOL.

Ok so I have to say that seeing all your laundry was a lil refreshing. We all have days like that, sing it sista - keep it real! :)
