May, already?

Is it just me, or is this year flying by? It really shouldn't be, because it seems like Steve has been gone for more than half of it.

April went by too fast. At the beginning of the month we had Easter. We didn't do much. The weekend before Easter our ward had an egg hunt. Then on Easter we waited until after Conference to do anything. It was really low key.

The next weekend, my best friend got married. She did so in Utah. Kelley, you are probably the only person in the world that could get us back down there. (Huggins' you're number two on that very short list) We set off on Thursday, stopped at my parents, then on Friday drove down to Layton and stayed with Steve's son from his mission. We went out to Chuck 'e' Cheese that night. (Never again will we go there. For a family of 6, it cost a lot of money to feed all of us!) Then stayed up way too late with Justin and Ashley. On Saturday, we left the kids with Justin and his brother and sister and his son, Corgan, while we went to the sealing. It was so wonderful. I love going to sealings. It was great to be able to sit next to Steve and listen to the sealer and the advice he gave Kelley and Moroni and really listen to what exactly we got ourselves into. Kelley and Moroni are just the cutest couple ever! Love you both!
After seeing the happy couple come out of the Temple, we went back to Justin's, said our good-byes and headed to the lunch-in for the newlyweds. After a Leo meltdown (I know what you're thinking, Leo, yeah right, it had to been Zoe or Jake. Nope, it was Leo, welcome to the 2nd year, I guess) we made it in and had a blast just chatting with our friend. We left a little early to drive all the way to Logan. Well, Hyde Park actually. We stayed with Adam and Laura on Saturday (again stayed up way too late). They just got done building their new home and had just moved in earlier that week. Adam made us a feast for breakfast (oh and for dinner Saturday, we had Costa Vida!!!!!!!!), hung out a bit (Zoe and Leo went fourwheeling with Adam) and then headed back to my parents. On Monday, we came home and crashed.

The rest of April was uneventful. Steve worked. He got called down to LA to work on a client there the last two weeks of April. The kids and I survived....barely. Lots of melt downs, screaming, crying (from kids and mom), and quiet time.

The first week that Steve was gone, Teage started to crawl. I knew it would happen that way. So now he's a crawling machine (if his brothers and sister let him actually crawl) and loves to go into his and Jake's room and play while the kids are in there as well.

So that was our April. Sorry for no pictures. I just don't feel like messing with blogger right now to add the pictures.

May is going to be better though. Steve, except for next week (he'll be at training in Seattle) will be home all month. Mother's Day is on Sunday (really, I'm not expecting anything. Maybe just some crepe's and some sleep!) and Steve's birthday is at the end of the month! He'll be 30!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA (I laugh at how old he is getting, while I'm still in my mid-twenties!!) I've got a little something planned for him. I can't wait!
