Almost a month ago we went with Steve down to Corvallis. He had a recruiting event (and you thought we were done with that huh?) to go to at OSU. And since it was only for an hour and half, we thought we would go with him him and find a park to play at while Steve was "working". It was fun to spend a Monday afternoon together as a family and find a new place to explore. After dropping Steve off the kids and I went to Avery Park. It was awesome, and only a few minutes away from campus.

Here are the kids discovery the play area. It was right next to an pavilion which had bathrooms (which was really good because this was the only time we went out with Zoe while she was potty training).

Just down a little bit was this train. I made the kids run to it. They wanted to stay and play, but I wanted to check out the train.

This tree was HUGE! And I just had to get a picture of it. It doesn't even fit all the way in the shot.

The kids on the other hand didn't much care for the train.

They couldn't wait to get down.

And then Leo wanted to go down the hill...

...while Zoe and Jake ran back to the play area.

But they all came down the hill, saw that it wasn't fun at all, so the ran back up the hill.

Isn't that pretty? I love fall colors!

Leo thinks so too!

We made it safely back to the play area.

And the kids had a blast playing while we waited for Daddy to get done.
Although Jake was ready to be done about 10 minutes before it was time to leave to go get Daddy. And Zoe didn't make it through the whole trip accident free. Sadly, this was our last trip out of the house. That weekend Teage and I got sick then Zoe and Leo then Jake. And we are still all sick. I hate colds! At least we got to go outside in the warm fall air and had a blast!
