Today we decided to reward all our hard work on unpacking, by going to the beach! I love the fact that we are only an hour and half away from the beach. We left right before nap time, the kids all slept on the way there, and were up and ready to burn some energy by the time we got there!
Teage was ready to eat when we got there, and after letting Steve know it was
ok to leave me, he took all the kids down to the water. Leo hadn't ever been to the beach or seen the Pacific Ocean, so this was his first time. He didn't know what to think, and wouldn't leave his Daddy's side for quite a while. But warmed up to the sand and water and didn't want to leave either.

All these pictures were taken by me, with my left hand, while feeding a baby, and the zoom all the way. But it looks like there are having fun!

Yes, that is the rock from the
Goonies. The best movie ever! And just look at the mist. It was so cool. It was on either side of us, and a couple of times it rolled over us. So nice and refreshing!
Teage in
style with his beach hat! We tried really hard to keep the wind and sand off of him.

Leo is still warming up to the sand. He played with the camera holder for a while.

After
Teage's second feeding. He was a happy boy then and went back to sleep.

It was really windy (not too bad) but enough that after playing in the water, it got cold, so Zoe stopped going into the water with Daddy, and just hung out with Mommy and
Teage.

She really liked playing in the sand.

And swimming in the sand.

So much so, she got really sandy. I think I had more sand then girl at one point.

Leo warmed up to the sand and played with his sister for a while. Just running back and forth from Zoe to me
growling at us!

We just sat down and played in the warm sand for awhile. It was so relaxing to have to warm sand and cool breeze on us. We all had fun!

My handsome husband! He left us for a bit and waded in the ocean for a bit. I wish I could have joined him, but someone had to watch the kids and our stuff!
All in all, it was a good day. And I'm the only one to get a sunburn. I had to feed a baby first before I put on sunblock. Oh well, it's not too bad. I hope we get to go back to the
beach a few more times before the end of summer. It was lots of fun!

Good for you! You all deserved the day at the Ocean. It looks like so much fun. Mom
Wow Awesome! Those are such cute pics of Steve walking down to the beach with 3 kids in tow. I still can't believe you guys have 4 kiddos! BLows my mind. Looks like you are already taking advantage of your new place and surroundings. I am jealous..even though I honestly don't love the beach that much! So back to the "real world" for Steve tomorrow huh? Wish him good luck for us!
Okay I'm sold we'll be there next summer to join you on the beach :)
