Eating Right
So, my friend Janae is a vegan and is encouraging her friends all her friends and family to eat better and/or try a vegetarian or vegan diet. And because I'm pregnant, we're poor and what not, we thought we would try to eat better. To help us do that, I made a meal plan (breakfast, lunch, dinner) for a month. And we've been sticking to it (only a couple of times we have deviated from the plan). Which is great! I've learned that my cravings aren't as bad, and I don't really crave junk food much. And food always sounds good, instead of being so icky that I don't know what I want or food just sounds gross. And the best part. Almost a month of eating better, and with a growing baby inside of me, I lost a pound from me last doctor's appointment! Woohoo!! I'm feeling really good for being 20 weeks now. I'm usually tired and feeling gross, but I'm not. I feel great. And it's nice to know that my kids are eating good food, and that I can cook good food. Steve usually does most of the cooking, but now that he works almost all day, I do most of the cooking. Anyways, it's good to know that we are eating right and feeling good and losing some weight!

Way to go....... I'm very proud of you. You were always so smart about things. Congrats on losing weight. Mom
It definitely always feels better to eat better. That's great that you feel so good right now in your pregnancy. I hope the rest of it goes as smoothly.
Wow Sara, I'm impressed! This sounds like something life changing that is bringing really good things to all your family.

Just to be clear, we are eating better, but not doing a vegetarian or vegan diet. Kudos to those people that are, but we aren't. We just feel that to eat healthy for us, meat and dairy are a must! Especially since Zoe still has to drink Whole Milk. So, we're cutting out the red meat (well, not having tacos every other night!) and eating more chicken and pork (the other white meat!). But it's great and we're trying new foods and stuff. And it's great to have a full fridge and know what we're having for a meal!
