It's been a very long week. The viewing was on Monday. It was a very long day. Lots of family and friends came by. I didn't know hardly anyone.
On Tuesday was the funeral. It was nice. Afterwards we had a dinner at the church. That was fun. Getting to see more family (ones that I knew) and just talking.
Wednesday the fun began. Everyone went over to Grandma's apartment and started cleaning. We cleaned all day. Picked out things we wanted and chatted.
Thursday was more of the same. But that night we went over to Uncle Ed's and hung out with his family. My cousin Julie (she's about Duane age) took to Leo (forever known as Little Leo or Baby Leo from now on because my Uncle Leo was Little Leo) and wants to nanny for us once her daughter Alyse Johanna (We are the only girls named after our great-grandmother Anna Johanna. And we're the same generation) graduates from high school. My Great Uncle Ed has a bowling alley in his basement. There are only three left of my grandfathers family. Uncle Ed is the baby.
Also on Thursday, my sister came over with her grand daughter. Yeah, that makes me a great aunt. She is two weeks younger than Leo. They got along really well. And she really liked her great grandpa!
Friday, we packed up all the stuff we picked from Grandma's things. Then that night my twin cousins and I went and saw Twilight. Good times!
On all four flights (from Salt Lake to Chicago to Buffalo and the same on the way back) Leo was the best baby ever! He only cried when he got restless, and even then it was only for a few minutes and could easily be entertained. He truly is the best baby ever!
Thank you to everyone who sent their sympathy. Thank you to Rachel and Edda for watching Jake and Zoe. You guys were a lifesaver for Steve! And thank you Steve for allowing me to go. I just wish you got to meet Grandma Hope before she passed away.
