It's Offical!

Jake is potty trained!!!!! After about six months of accidents, time outs, tears, rewards, lots of special underwear, night time underwear (ok, we're still going to have those) we finally have success! We had given up on trying to get Jake to poop on the potty. It was really frustrating, because we knew he knew what he was suppose to do when he had to poop. Then, at the beginning of the week, Jake announced that he had to poop. And he did. And it was on the potty. We made a big deal out of it, gave him a cookie and some candy for a reward, and it's been going great ever since. It's like something clicked. I'm not complaining. That was a lot of effort to get to this point. I'm glad Jake is finally got it down. He is officially a big boy now! And no more groundings either. So go ahead, invite Jake for a playdate now. He won't stand you up again. Because he can go poopy on the potty now!!!
